Primus Extends 2018 Fall Tour

Back in May, Les Claypool issued a statement detailing plans for Primus to “cool out for a while” following their Summer Tour. However, the trio went on to announce a series of dates between fall festival appearances and now extended the run to a full three weeks.

“Hey all you Primates out there. So, due to popular demand and the fact that such a spectacular time on this latest summer tour was had, we’ve decided to extend our short fall run into three glorious Goblin filled weeks of Primus,” reads a new statement from Primus bassist Les Claypool. “If you haven’t seen it yet or want to catch it one last time, now’s your chance to get your ‘gob on’. We might even slip a little Nutbutter onto your Glass Sandwich as we all ride the Hamburger Train to Kalamazoo…well maybe. And, don’t forget, dress like your favorite Goblin or Primus character and win a prize. (We are thinking jars of Pickled Ler Underpants but we’ve yet to work that out).”

Primus Fall Tour now spans September 18 – October 8. Claypool, drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander and guitarist Larry LaLonde will kick off the tour at The Fox Theater in Riverside, California on September 18. The trio also added a visit to Flagstaff on September 19 ahead of their appearance at San Antonio’s River City Rockfest on September 22. Next up comes a performance at The Brady Theater in Tulsa on September 23. Primus then embarks on a series of previously announced dates in Athens, Asheville, Biloxi and Louisville.

The trio also added a series of six headlining dates to the backend of the run. Primus visits Madison, Wisconsin on October 1 and then heads to Davenport, Iowa on October 3. From there, Claypool & Co. bring the tour to the South Dakota cities of Sioux Falls on October 4 and Deadwood on October 5. The band’s tour is currently slated to end with two nights at The Ogden in Denver on October 7 and 8.

A pre-sale for the newly added shows begins on Tuesday, July 17 via Primus Ticketing at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m. local time. Preferred entry will be given to those in costume at all GA shows.
