Playlist Compiles Final Performances Of Grateful Dead Originals

Earlier this year, we reported on playlists compiling the debuts of every Grateful Dead original as well as covers compiled by Eyesoftheworld94. Today, Eyesoftheworld94 has gone in the opposite direction by compiling a playlist featuring the final live version of nearly every Grateful Dead original.

All told, the playlist below features 150 different tracks. The only problem is that every track from the 68th song on are culled from 1995, the last and worst year in Grateful Dead history. Yet, there’s plenty of gems towards the beginning of the playlist including the band’s last takes on “Mason’s Children” from 1970, “Alligator” from 1971, “Weather Report Suite” from 1974, “Cosmic Charlie” from 1976, “Passenger” from 1981, “St. Stephen” from 1983, “Ripple” from 1988 and “To Lay Me Down” from 1992.
