Every Grateful Dead Original Song Debut Playlist

Over the course of the Grateful Dead’s storied 30-year career, the band introduced a massive songbook of original compositions during their many live performances. Beginning with a live show in 1966 and continuing through their final year of touring in 1995 the Dead regularly added original songs to their massive onstage repertoire. Thanks to Eyesoftheworld94, you can now stream an Archive.org playlist compiling every original Grateful Dead song’s live concert debut performance.
The all-original playlist (save for an accidentally included “El Paso” tacked on the end of “Chinatown Shuffle”) starts off with the January 8, 1966 debut of “Caution (Do Not Stop On The Tracks)” and finishes with the March 19, 1995 debut of “Unbroken Chain.” The compilation totals 162 entries and can be streamed below:
