Pink Talking Fish Debut Chilling, Thrilling Cover In Port Chester

It hasn’t even been two weeks since Phish performed their original take on Disney’s Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House as part of an epic Halloween show, but that didn’t stop Pink Talking Fish from working one of the songs debuted during the Chilling, Thrilling set into last night’s performance. Not only did PTF’s “Mike’s Groove” sequence at Garcia’s include “The Dogs” from Phish’s Chilling, Thrilling set it also included “Louder Than Words” off the newly-released Pink Floyd album –The Endless River. “Mike’s” segued into “Lounder Than Words,” which was followed by an exploratory “Life During Wartime” that gave way to “The Dogs” > “Weekapaug Groove.”
Earlier in the set, The Hornitz emerged to help out on a cover of “Burning Down The House” and returned later for a “Slippery People” > “Sand” > “Psycho Killer” sequence. Towards the end of the evening, Stoobacca Dashiki helped out on sax for “Shine On You Crazy Diamond.”
