Today, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong released the new single “Indiglo” featuring ALO‘s Zach Gill on keyboards. The track marks the first new studio recording from the quartet since their 2020 album, Presto.
PPPP laid down “Indiglo” at Wright Way Studios in their hometown of Baltimore. Steve Wright both recorded and mixed the single which was mastered by Tony Eichler. The band debuted “Indiglo” live at the 2017 installment of their Domefest music festival as per Phantasy Tour.
“The chorus of our new single ‘Indiglo’ has never sounded sweeter, ‘we’re on the road again!'” stated Pigeons guitarist/vocalist Greg Ormont in a press release. “I’m so happy that this peppy tune finally got the studio treatment it deserves, complete with the lively keyboard stylings of our friend Zach Gill of ALO. Its release comes at the perfect time as we’re finally back on tour doing what we love and I hope it resonates with anyone who’s ready to do the same.”
