On Friday, the Experience Hendrix Tour 2016 came to the ornate Kings Theatre in Brooklyn for a tribute to the late great guitarist Jimi Hendrix. The show featured a bevy of acclaimed musicians including Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Dweezil Zappa, Chris Layton, Mato Nanji, Chuck Campbell, Eric Johnson, Calvin Cooke, Zakk Wylde, Johnny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. “Hey Joe,” “Voodoo Child,” “Spanish Castle Magic,” “Fire,” “The Wind Cries Mary” and “Third Stone From The Sun” were among the 25 tunes from Hendrix’s repertoire performed in Brooklyn.
