Phoenix shared a new version of their song “After Midnight” featuring guest vocalist Clairo. The track originally appeared on Phoenix’s 2022 album, Alpha Zulu.
“We’ve loved Claire since day one!,” Phoenix stated. “What a treat it is to have her sing with us! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.”

Phoenix, whose lineup consists of vocalist Thomas Mars, guitarist Christian Mazzalai, guitarist/keyboardist Laurent “Branco” Brancowitz and bassist Deck d’Arcy, had only ever recorded one other song featuring a guest artist, and it appeared on Alpha Zulu. The song “Tonight” saw the band joined by Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig.
“I’ve been a massive fan of Phoenix for as long as I can remember,” Clairo added. “And I’m very grateful that they asked me to sing on this remix.”
Phoenix will soon embark on a joint headline tour with Beck. In June, Clairo will be part of the Re:SET traveling concert series featuring LCD Soundsystem, boygenius, Steve Lacy and others.
