Phish will host the band’s tenth festival – Magnaball – at Watkins Glen International race track in Watkins Glen, New York on August 21 – 23. The band has announced a number of updates regarding the event, including the Festival Ate Special Dining Experience. Among the fest’s food options will be the full-service Festival Ate restaurant open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. serving breakfast, lunch and a unique Phish lyrics-inspired farm-to-table dinner each night of the festival, Tickets to the special dinners are available here. The announcement describes the meals like this:
These dinners will be 5-course prix-fixe culinary journeys, with different menus each night, reflective of the Finger Lakes seasonal bounty and paired with local beers or wines. Vegan, vegetarian and omnivore options will be available and the dinners are on the early side so you won’t miss a minute of the shows. To view menus and for more information about the team in the kitchen and to buy advance tickets for these dinners visit http://j.mp/festate. Seating for Festival Ate dinners is very limited. We strongly suggest buying tickets in advance to ensure your seat for these very special experiences.
Other Maganaball updates this week included confirmation of a full-functioning USPS Post Office station on site, The Ball Street Journal published by Relix which will share news, reviews, activities schedules and other festival information and The Waterwheel Foundation’s goods available for donation including a Jim Pollock-designed themed die-cut set for WaterWheel at Magnaball, autographed, limited edition show posters from current and past Phish tours, a limited Edition commemorative Phish Food T-shirt in conjunction with Ben & Jerry’s and more.
The band previously shared details of an installation dubbed “Studio X” that will feature game shows and yoga at Magnaball.
