The multi-venue Philly Music Fest (PMF) returns for live, in-person performances from Philadelphia-based bands this fall. World Café Live, Johnny Brenda’s, Milkboy, REC Philly and Ardmore Music Hall will each host shows as part of the Philly Music Fest October 6 – 10.
The Menzingers, Alex G, Hop Along, Ivy Sole, Son Little, Spirit of the Beehive, Control Top, Queen of Jeans and Moor Mother are among the national touring acts performing at this year’s PMF. Other emerging artists aboard for the fifth annual festival include Moses Mosima, Barney Cortez, Irreversible Entanglements, Stella Ruze and Highnoon.

“Look, last year was tough, but we innovated and donated over $100,000 to musicians, venue staff and music education, through our virtual festival and micro-grant campaign,” noted PMF founder and curator Greg Seltzer. “We’re super proud of that, but getting back into venues and having our community safely gather together in-person – the excitement is incredible and we’ve worked hard to ensure that our 2021 lineup matches the enthusiasm.”
In addition to the performances, PMF will present a pair of “bolt-on” events related to music. A “Tech Tour” will be held at Guru Technologies in Center City October 7 starting at 4 p.m. ET, while “Inside Hustle” will take place at World Café Live October 9 beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Each will feature panel discussions.
