Phil Lesh & Friends featuring Phil joined by guitarists Stu Allen and Scott Metzger, keyboardist Scott Guberman, vocalist Jeanette Ferber and drummers Pete Lavezzoli and Alex Koford will celebrate 1977 Grateful Dead at Terrapin Crossroads Friday, June 12. Tickets are currently on-sale here.
Here’s what the venue wrote about the tribute:
Our ongoing retrospective has now reached 1977. After taking a break from touring in late ’74 through 1975, the band returned in June 1976 with two tours to the East Coast. These now seem like a warm-up for ’77, which turned into a banner year for the Dead. Besides the shows, some of which figure in anyone’s list of top GD performances, the band recorded “Terrapin Station”, and played a huge outdoor concert in Englishtown, NJ that drew over 100,000 listeners. It wasn’t easy choosing, but Phil has picked one of his favorite shows from 1977 to recreate at TXR on June 12.
