Phil Lesh Brings Grandson Levon Up For Performance Of ‘Ripple’

On Sunday Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh made a surprise appearance during brunch at his Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, California. Phil joined a band featuring guitarists Scott Law and Grahame Lesh, bassist Brian Rashap, keyboardist Scott Guberman and drummer Danny Luehring for a performance of “Ripple.”
Phil sang the Grateful Dead classic while holding his young grandson Levon Lesh who was sporting a Peyton Manning jersey on Super Bowl Sunday. Levon at points seems amused, but eventually calls for his grandmother and Jill Lesh fetches him from stage. Watch the incredibly cute performance captured by jefftgvid:
