Phil Lesh released the fourth installment of his Clubhouse Sessions video series featuring the legendary Peter Rowan. Phil Lesh & Friends rolled through Rowan and Grateful Dead classics during the 40-minute performance.
The Phil & Friends lineup for episode four also features guitarist Stu Allen, drummer John Molo, pedal steel guitarist Barry Sless, keyboardist Holly Bowling, vocalist Elliott Peck, fiddler Jason Crosby and guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz.

The session got underway with the Rowan favorite “Midnight Moonlight” — a song Peter used to play with Jerry Garcia in Old & In The Way — which saw stellar runs from Bowling and Sless. Elliott Peck, who had a health scare earlier this year, then led the way on Grateful Dead acoustic classic, “Ripple.”
Another Rowan/Old & In The Way standout, “Land of the Navajo,” followed. A honky-tonk rendition of the Dead’s “Dupree’s Diamond Blues” sung by Stu Allen came next before the ensemble wrapped things up with “Dire Wolf,” once again featuring the pedal steel stylings of Sless along with rustic fiddle from Crosby.
