Pete Townshend & Eddie Vedder To Perform At The Who Tribute
By Scott Bernstein Apr 23, 2015 • 2:30 pm PDT

Illinois native Eddie Vedder has always been vocal about his love for The Who, so we can only imagine the Pearl Jam frontman’s excitement at being tapped to participate in a tribute to the legendary rockers in his home state. Vedder will join The Who guitarist Pete Townshend and Simon Townshend & Friends for An Evening Celebrating The Who at Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, Illinois on May 14.

Money raised from this show will be used to support programs for teenagers and young adults with cancer at the University of Chicago Medicine along with other local children’s charities. Pete Townshend and Vedder will be accompanied by Zak Starkey (drums), Simon Townshend (guitar), Pino Palladino (bass), John Corey (keyboards), Loren Gold (keyboards) and Frank Simes (keyboards). Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 21 at 10 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster.
