Perry Farrell Calls Phish ‘One Of The Greats’

While Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman has never hidden his love of the Grateful Dead, he’s also a fan of fellow legendary jam act Phish. Farrell responded to a tweet asking his opinion on the Vermont quartet by calling Phish “one of the greats.”

Phish debuted a cover of one of Jane’s Addiction’s most beloved songs, “Been Caught Stealing” back on August 1, 1998 at Alpine Valley. The quartet went on to play “Been Caught Stealing” four more times in 1998 and revived the cover on June 18, 2011 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
