Perpetual Groove :: 9.15.18 :: Brooklyn Bowl :: Brooklyn, NY
Jam quartet Perpetual Groove returned to the familiar confines of Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on Saturday night. The band opened with a cover of “Release” by Pearl Jam and then worked “Mayday,” “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody),” “Out Here” and “Detox Mansion” within “Green Tea.” PGroove concluded the first frame with “Paper Dolls” and “Only Always.”
Guitarist Brock Butler, drummer Albert Suttle, keyboardist Matt McDonald and bassist Adam Perry kicked off their second set in NYC with old school favorite “AIM.” The four-piece act then reached for “Crapshoot” from 2007’s LiveLoveDie. From there, “MOTA” was followed by a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer.” The night came to a close with one beloved staple after another including “Robot Waltz,” “Stealy Man,” “Best Of Anything,” “Space Paranoids” and “Man With All The Answers.” Photographer Andrew Blackstein was on hand in Brooklyn to capture the action.
