The sixth annual installment of the Peach Music Festival will be held on August 10 – 13 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Organizers have just announced a batch of additions to the 2017 lineup.
Of particular note is an all-star tribute to co-founding members of the Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks, both of whom passed away earlier this year. The Allman Brothers Band created the festival with Live Nation in 2012 and headlined the first three installments. A lineup for the tribute set has yet to be confirmed. Peach Music Festival organizers also revealed guitarist John Scofield will be among Gov’t Mule’s guests for a revival of Sco-Mule.
Other additions include Greensky Bluegrass, Galactic, Keller Williams’ Kwahtro, Cabinet and Hayley Jane & The Primates. Artists At Large for the event will be The Turkuaz Horns and Primate Fiasco. Phish/Talking Heads/Pink Floyd tribute act Pink Talking Fish will serve up a full performance of the Allman Brothers Band’s Eat A Peach LP interwined with songs from the three acts they typically cover. As previously announced, Widespread Panic will play two nights, while Umphrey’s McGee and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead will each perform two sets. Lettuce featuring Chaka Khan, Mike Gordon, Les Brers, Jaimoe’s Jassz Band, Dark Star Orchestra, The Magpie Salute, God Street Wine and Steve Kimock & Friends are also among the acts previously confirmed for Peach ’17.
