Friday was the first full day of this year’s Peach Music Festival at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The day and night was chock full of stellar sets and collaborations including Pink Talking Fish’s Eats A Peach set on the Mushroom Stage and Greensky Bluegrass joined by the Turkuaz Horns for “Before Bring Out Your Dead,” “Bring Out Your Dead” and “Miss September.”

Lettuce closed out the Peach Stage with special guest Chaka Khan leading the funk outfit on “Tell Me Something Good,” “I’m A Woman” more. Meanwhile, The Magpie Salute mixed beloved Black Crowes classics including “Remedy” and “Wiser Time” with the original “Omission” and choice covers such as The Rolling Stones’ “Tumbling Dice” and Humble Pie’s “30 Days In The Hole.” God Street Wine’s set saw former keyboardist Pete Levin join in on “Drive West” and featured fan favorites “Goodnight Gretchen” and “Waiting For The Tide,” among others. Holly Bowling mixed Dead and Phish tunes including a standout “Cassidy” > “Slipknot!” > “Franklin’s Tower” sequence, while Dark Star Orchestra provided a full band tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead.
