Pavement has been tapped to headline the first night of Philadelphia’s Make The World Better Concert Weekend at Dell Music Center on Friday, July 24. The show marks the lone Northeast date of the band’s 2026 tour.
Presented by R5 Productions, the annual benefit series raises funds for Make The World Better’s work revitalizing public spaces in the Philadelphia area. Ratboys will open for Pavement on the 24th.
Philadelphia’s own Kurt Vile & The Violators headline the second night of the weekend on Saturday, July 25. Local bands They Are Gutting a Body of Water and Twisted Teens round out the bill.
The Make The World Better Concert Weekend appearance comes towards the tail end of Pavement’s first North American headline tour since 2023. The trek begins on July 17 in Oakland and also includes dates in Portland (Oregon), St. Paul (Minnesota), Chicago, Cleveland and Richmond before concluding at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium on July 27.
Single-day tickets and two-day passes for the concert weekend are available now using PHILLY as the presale code. Remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 3 at 10 a.m. ET. All proceeds benefit the Make The World Better Foundation.
