A Paul Simon documentary, In Restless Dreams: The Music Of Paul Simon, is set to premiere in early 2024. Directed by Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney, the two-part doc will premiere via MGM+ on March 17 and March 24.

As Consequence reported, In Restless Dreams: The Music Of Paul Simon is “the definitive musical biography” of the legendary singer-songwriter and documents the musical journey of “one of the greatest songwriters (and performers) in the history of rock ‘n’ roll.”

The film — which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September — gives a look inside the making of Simon’s latest studio project, Seven Psalms, which arrived on May 19. The doc also traces Paul’s storied career through never-before-seen footage including material shot during his formative time with Simon & Garfunkel and his singular solo career.

Simon’s story is also told through interviews with family and collaborators, among them jazz great Wynton Marsalis, Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and Paul’s wife singer-songwriter Edie Brickell. Watch director Alex Gibney speak about the film at the 2023 London Film Festival below:
