Paul Shaffer & The World’s Most Dangerous Band Return To ‘The Late Show’

Last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert featured a performance by Paul Shaffer & The World’s Most Dangerous Band. The musical guests were joined by the show’s house band Jon Batiste & Stay Human and renowned vocalist Valerie Simpson during their performance.
Making a triumphant return to the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater, Paul Shaffer & The World’s Most Dangerous Band supported former host David Letterman (as The CBS Orchestra) throughout his 20+ year tenure as Late Show host. Earlier this year Sire Records issued Paul Shaffer & The World’s Most Dangerous Band, the group’s guest-filled debut album featuring Dion, Bill Murray, Darius Rucker, Shaggy and Jenny Lewis.
The album also included Simpson, who shared vocal and piano duties with Shaffer Monday evening on a rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” which can be viewed below:
