Paul McCartney will issue a new album entitled Egypt Station on September 7 via Capitol Records. Today, Macca has shared two singles from his first album of all-new McCartney music since 2013’s New.
Egypt Station features 14 tracks including the singles “I Don’t Know” and “Come On To Me.” McCartney recorded the LP at studios in Los Angeles, London and Sussex with producer (with the exception of one track) Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters). “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station.’ It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make..,” McCartney said in a statement about the record’s title. “Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”
