Panorama Cancels Friday Evening Performances At 2018 Festival Due To Severe Weather
Panorama, a three-day music festival, began on Friday at Randall’s Island Park off Manhattan in New York City. Organizers Goldenvoice evacuated the grounds yesterday when severe weather rolled through. All performances were cancelled after the evacuation order at approximately 5 p.m. The festival is scheduled resumed today and runs through Sunday.
“We regret having to cancel the second half of Friday’s performances, but our first priority is always the safety of our fans, artists and staff. After consultation with NYC officials, we agreed with the decision to evacuate,” reads a note from the festival’s organizers.
Friday Refunds will be issued. Here’s more details with a FAQ available on Panorama’s website:
Friday passes purchased online and at the box office via credit/debit card will be automatically refunded. Partial refunds will be given for 2-day and weekend pass holders. Refunds will start Monday, 7/30, and may take up to 2-4 weeks to be processed. For additional questions reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are no plans to reschedule the sets that were cancelled as per the FAQ. The Weeknd, Father John Misty, The War On Drugs and Migos were just a few of the groups that didn’t get to play Panorama last night. Janet Jackson, Lil Wayne and St. Vincent are among the acts due to perform at Panorama on Saturday.
