Panda Bear (Animal Collective's Noah Lennox) made his Tiny Desk Concert debut for NPR Music. The full band performance featured a pair of songs from Panda Bear’s recently released solo album, Sinister Grift.
Recorded while Lennox was on tour in support of his first solo LP in five years, the run was also his first with a full backing band. The Tiny Desk Concert featured Lennox on guitar and vocals, Rivka Ravede on Roland SP-404, Tomé Silva on drums, Maria Reis on keyboards and Tim Koh on bass.

The session began with back-to-back Sinister Grift singles, “Ferry Lady” and “Defense.” The three-song set ended with the unreleased track “Song For Ariel,” which evolved into the song “Guys Eyes” from the 2009 Animal Collective album Merriweather Post Pavilion.
