Phish shared keyboardist Page McConnell’s newest rig tour video. Filmed at Alpine Valley in Summer 2022, the half-hour video premiered in two parts during the first two livestreams of Phish’s four-night New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The video sees Page expertly explaining each of the nine keyboards in his rig beginning with his Wurlitzer 200 electric piano and continuing through his Moog 1 synthesizer, Nord Stage 3, Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes electric piano, Yamaha CS60 synth, Prophet Sequential Rev 2 synth, Hohner D6 Clavinet and finally his Yamaha C7 grand piano.
The Chairman Of The Boards gave a history of each piece — including his own personal history with the board as well as the company/person that makes it — and also explained some of the mechanical functions of the instruments. Additionally, Page plays snippets of songs he uses each keyboard for.
