Our Native Daughters perform “Black Myself” to open this weekend’s episode of Austin City Limits, which features performance highlights from the 18th annual Americana Honors ceremony in Nashville. JamBase is pleased to premiere video of “Black Myself” as a preview of ACL’s trip to Nashville.

Our Native Daughters – a group led by Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, Amythyst Kiah and Allison Russell – received a Grammy nomination on Wednesday, as “Black Myself” is up for the Best American Roots Song award. Kiah handles lead vocals on the tune, which she wrote for inclusion on the band’s 2019 debut album, Songs Of Our Native Daughters.

Mumford & Sons, Yola, Brandi Carlile, I’m With Her, Mavis Staples, Bonnie Raitt and John Prine are among the other acts featured on the next episode of Austin City Limits’ 45th season. Each performance was recorded live at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Spetember 11. The episode premieres this Saturday, November 23 at 8 p.m. CT on most PBS stations. Look for the hourlong special via pbs.org/austincitylimits starting at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 24.
