By Scott Bernstein May 14, 2014 • 6:30 am PDT

In addition to the Pops, Haynes -who played Jerry Garcia’s Wolf guitar -was joined onstage by drummer Jeff Sipe, bassist Lincoln Schleifer and vocalists Alecia Chakour and Jasmine Muhammad. The over 60 musicians on stage opened with a “Dark Star” > “Bird Song” pairing and later in the first set offered the orchestral debut of “Here Comes Sunshine.” Set Two was notable for a “Terrapin” > “Slipknot!” > “Terrapin” pairing and the symphonic debut of “Doin’ That Rag.” Haynes also took the lead on his original ode to Garcia, “Patchwork Quilt,” towards the end of the set. The Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration featuring Warren Haynes returns to Boston’s Symphony Hall tonight.
