It was a hard road back for Nine Inch Nails as Trent Reznor had to deal with two musicians leaving his band before they even played their first show. That first show happened last night at the Fuji Rock Music Festival in Japan, where the new version of NIN treated fans to a 21-song set heavy on material from their landmark The Downward Spiral LP.

Nine Inch Nails debuted three songs off their new LP, Hesitation Marks, namely the new single “Came Back Haunted,” the show-opening “Copy Of A” and “Find My Way.” The group also dusted off “Sanctified” for the first time since 1996. There was no lack of hits, as NIN delivered “Head Like A Hole,” “Hurt” and “Closer.”
