Olivia Rodrigo Brings Out Lily Allen To ‘Smile’ At London Concert

Olivia Rodrigo held a three-night stand at London’s O2 Arena as part of her global GUTS Tour. Friday’s middle show of the run featured Rodrigo joined by special guest Lily Allen for her infectious song, “Smile.”

“Smile” was released in 2006 as Allen’s debut single and appeared on the London native singer-songwriter’s first album, Alright, Still. Allen’s most recent full-length release, her fourth album No Shame, came out in 2018.

Allen and Rodrigo previously collaborated during the latter’s set at the 2022 Glastonbury Festival when the pair performed Allen’s “Fuck You.” Rodrigo referenced that experience when introducing Allen to the O2 Arena audience.

“I absolutely adore her, I think she’s the most clever songwriter and the coolest girl in London,” Rodrigo told the crowd. “I think the best day of my whole career was when I got to sing with her a few years ago at Glastonbury. I absolutely adore her. Will you please give it up for Miss Lily Allen!”
