Oliver Wood released a new single, “Yo I Surrender,” featuring Los LobosSteve Berlin on baritone saxophone. The track is set to land on the singer-songwriter and guitarist’s forthcoming solo album, Fat Cat Silhouette, due out on June 14 via Honey Jar Records/Indirecto Records.

Produced by Oliver’s The Wood Brothers bandmate Jano Rix, Fat Cat Silhouette was captured at The Studio Nashville with bassist Ted Pecchio and sees guest turns from Berlin, singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt and Marshall Tucker Band’s Marcus James Henderson. Wood shared a video for the lead single “Light and Sweet” in April.

Oliver now follows with “Yo I Surrender.”

“This was a fun collaboration between myself, Jano Rix, Ted Pecchio and Steve Berlin,” Wood said of the new single. “Both writing and recording the song was a very childlike process. The music came together live in the studio with all of us in a circle creating a playful and loose vibe. Quirky lyrics quickly followed. It was so fun to play with amazing musicians who listen to each other and allow you to just trust and surrender.”
