Old Crow Medicine Show Releases ‘Honey Chile’ Single & Details US Tour Dates

Old Crow Medicine Show continues to preview their forthcoming studio album, Paint This Town, by sharing the track “Honey Chile” as well as a live performance video of the song. The Grammy-winning band also recently confirmed spring and summer dates across the U.S.

The sextet — consisting of Ketch Secor, Morgan Jahnig, Cory Younts, Jerry Pentecost, Mike Harris and Mason Via — launch the tour in April with festival appearances in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina as well as headlining shows in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 28 and Outer Banks, North Carolina on April 29.

OCMS brings the trek to Philadelphia, New York City, Portland (Maine), Rahway (New Jersey), Raleigh and Beauford (North Carolina) in May before June performances in Texas, Georgia and Wisconsin. Then, in July, the group will play headlining concerts in California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and Washington D.C. between appearances at Levitate and FloydFest.

Paint This Town arrives via ATO Records on April 22. The 12-track album marks the group’s seventh overall and first since 2018’s Volunteer. Matt Ross-Spang co-produced the LP with OCMS, who recorded Paint This Town at their Hartland Studio facility in East Nashville, Tennessee. Old Crow Medicine Show previously unveiled the title track and “Bombs Away” featuring Molly Tuttle.

Secor shared the following about “Honey Chile”:

“When you mine the musical traditions of the South as we have you’re always going to run head on into the region’s most successful export: Southern Rock, and my favorite performers of this style are the Charlie Daniels Band, who Old Crow was lucky enough to open for back in the early 2000’s. We’ll miss Charlie around these parts, but he lives on in songs like ‘Honey Chile,’ a backwoods slow burn about good lovin’ and other hard habits to break.”
