Old Crow Medicine Show made their debut on Tiny Desk Concert. The acclaimed Americana group offered a career-spanning selection of songs including tunes off their Grammy-nominated 2023 album, Jubilee, along with older favorites.
The band — Ketch Secor (fiddle), Morgan Jahnig (upright bass), Cory Younts (mandolin, keys), Mike Harris (dobro, banjo, electric guitar), PJ George (acoustic guitar, keys) and Dante’ Pope (percussion) — opened with the classic “Wagon Wheel.”

“Wagon Wheel” came to fruition when Secor got his hands on a song sketch originally recorded by Bob Dylan in 1973 with the working title “Rock Me, Mama.” It was basically the chorus of what would become “Wagon Wheel” with Secor working out the verses. The song closes the band’s excellent 2004 self-titled LP.
Next, OCMS delivered “O Cumberland River,” a tune off their Grammy-winning 2014 record, Remedy. The group then turned to their most recent studio album, Jubilee, with “Wolfman of the Ozarks” and closer “One Drop.”
