Octave Cat — the trio consisting of Eli Winderman (Dopapod) on keyboards, Jesse Miller (Lotus) on bass/modular synths and Charlie Patierno on drums — will embark on their largest tour to date this April and May. The 14-date excursion will take the group to several markets for the first time with 5AM Trio, Miss Cantaloupe, YAM YAM, Consider the Source and Chalk Dinosaur each supporting at select shows.
Formed in 2016, Octave Cat has issued three studio albums — Octave Cat, Refract, and Sprezzatura and mix inventive covers into their live repertoire. The three-piece is more jazz influenced than the members’ primary bands, but also works elements of electronic dance music, funk and beat music into their sound.

The tour begins in Washington D.C. on April 10. The band then heads to Atlantic City (New Jersey) on April 11 with support from Miss Cantaloupe. On April 12, Octave Cat performs in Brooklyn with YAM YAM. The tour continues in Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) on April 17 before heading to Cleveland on April 18 with Yam Yam.
After a TBA show on April 19, the band plays Columbus on April 20 with Yam Yam. Next comes a performance in Roanoke (Virginia) on April 24 with Consider the Source. The group then hits Asheville (North Carolina) on April 25, Atlanta on April 26 and Charlotte (North Carolina) on April 27.
May begins with a concert in Pittsburgh on May 2 featuring Chalk Dinosaur followed by Buffalo (New York) on May 3. The tour concludes at the Kicksville festival in Avenue (Maryland) on May 10 with Papadosio and more.
“It is always fun playing with Octave Cat, but I’m really looking forward to doing this many shows in row with the group. With our main projects staying busy (and a global pandemic in there) we’ve never had the time for this many shows in a row. That crucible of constant playing can really help develop group improvisation ideas quickly,” said Jesse Miller.
