Oasis Shoots Down Glastonbury Rumors & Other Festival Speculation

Oasis will bring their Live '25 reunion tour to massive stages next year but Glastonbury and other festivals will not be among them. The band hit social media today to squash “media speculation” regarding potential festival sets.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended 15 years of animosity yesterday with the announcement of the first Oasis shows since 2009. The siblings, who co-founded the band in 1994, confirmed 16 tour dates in the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. The news included word Oasis will hit continents outside of Europe later next year.

“Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year,” wrote the Gallagher brothers. “The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.”

Multiple outlets reported Oasis would inevitably headline one of the world’s most prestigious festivals. “All the speculation about this reunion can get a bit tiresome. But there’s a genuine feeling that next summer’s Glastonbury will be too much of an attraction for Liam and Noel to turn down,” a source told The Daily Mail on Sunday.
