There isn’t much Norah Jones hasn’t done over the course of her illustrious career, but Norah has yet to release a live album. On April 16 that will change when ‘Til We Meet Again arrives via Blue Note Records. Jones previewed her debut live album by unveiling its lead single, “It Was You.”
‘Til We Meet Again features 14 tracks recorded between 2017 and 2019. Norah was backed on “It Was You,” which was captured at the Ohana Festival in 2018, by drummer Brian Blade, bassist Christopher Thomas and organist Pete Remm. Other musicians adding to tracks on the LP include percussionist Marcelo Costa, guitarist Jesse Harris, bassist Jesse Murphy and flutist Jorge Continentino.

“Whether we’re musicians or fans, we all miss sharing the experience of live music,” noted Jones. “I’ll be highlighting a different charity every week on my Facebook page to send some love to the folks who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes in the live music industry and have had their jobs put on hold. I can’t wait to all be together again.”
‘Til We Meet Again features songs from various periods in Norah’s career including tracks from 2002’s Come Away With Me (“Don’t Know Why,” “I’ve Got To See You Again,” “Cold, Cold Heart”), 2012’s Little Broken Hearts (“After The Fall”) and 2016’s Day Breaks (“Flipside,” “Tragedy”). Jones tacked on a cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” to end the album from a concert that took place at Detroit’s Fox Theatre mere days following the death of Chris Cornell after his show at the same venue.
