Nikki Lane Details New Album ‘Denim & Diamonds’ & Shares Single

Nikki Lane will issue a new album, Denim & Diamonds, via New West Records on September 23. The singer-songwriter previewed her first LP in five years with the single “First High.”
Denim & Diamonds follows Nikki’s album, Highway Queen, which arrived on February 17, 2017. Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme produced and mixed Lane’s new record at his Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, California and the album also sees contributions from QOTSA’s Alain Johannes, Dean Fertita and Michael Shuman as well as Arctic Monkeys‘s Matt Helders and Carla Azar of Autolux.
On Denim & Diamonds’ lead single “First High” Nikki said: “This song is about chasing that feeling of the first roller coaster, the first drag of a cigarette, that first kiss. Those moments are harder to come by the older we get, yet only get better each time. The video captures that feeling of being young in a small town on a summer day, and the lack of inhibition that came with it.”
“First High” arrived along with a music video directed by Jocelyn Cooper. Watch it below:
