Festival Productions Announces Partial Lineup for
Dunkin’ Donuts Newport Folk Festival August 3-5
Allman Brothers Band, NMA, Alejandro Escovedo, Tom Morello and More!

NEWPORT, RI–Festival Productions is excited to announce that for the first time ever in the festival’s long history, rock ‘n roll’s greatest jammin’ blues band, the Allman Brothers Band will take the Newport stage on Saturday, August 4 at the Dunkin’ Donuts(r) Newport Folk Festival. The Band will play a full, concert-length set as part of a sensational day-long program that also features the North Mississippi Allstars, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine), Assembly of Dust, and others, to be announced soon.

The Sunday, August 5 program welcomes back longtime festival favorites Alison Krauss and Union Station, featuring Jerry Douglas. The multiple-Grammy(r) winner joins Emmylou Harris, Amos Lee, Alejandro Escovedo, and bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley, among many others to be announced in upcoming weeks.

A program for Friday, August 3 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino will be announced soon as well.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. through TICKETWEB on-line at www.ticketweb.com, by phone at 866-468-7619, and by mail. To order by mail, send a check or money order for the total ticket cost plus a $4.00 handling charge per order to: Festival Productions, P.O. Box 1221, Newport, RI 02840. Order forms are also available on the festival web site at: www.newportfolk.com. The Festival box office, located in Middletown, RI will open in late April; office hours will be announced in a few weeks on the festival hotline: 401-847-3700.

Reserved seats are $75 and will be sold for individual days only. There is no child’s price or two-day pass for the reserved seating section. General admission tickets to Fort Adams State Park events August 5 and 6 are $55.00 for adults and $5.00 for children between 2 and 12 either day. Children under 2 will be admitted free of charge. Individual adult tickets go to $59.00 for Saturday or Sunday on festival weekend, if available. A limited number of General Admission Adult 2-Day Saturday/Sunday tickets will be sold for $95.00 while they last! Tickets to the Friday August 3rd opening night concert at the International Tennis Hall of Fame will go on sale at a later date.
