New To YouTube: The Disco Biscuits At Wetlands Preserve 1998

The Wetlands Preserve and The Disco Biscuits fit perfectly together like peanut butter and chocolate. Wetlands, a famed NYC club that occupied 161 Hudson Street in Tribeca from 1989 – 2001, hosted some of the jamtronica pioneers’ most storied early performances. Footage from the quartet’s May 21, 1998 performance at Wetlands has just surfaced on YouTube.

As per YouTube’s Mad Dog Twenty Twenty, “This is some footage I recently discovered of the Disco Biscuits playing the Wetlands Preserve from 5/21/98. Most of the footage was shot in video, however the last seven minutes or so were shot in super 8mm film. Also, some of the audio clips as it was recorded by the camera mics.” The quality isn’t the best, but for fans of the band it’s a cool document of the Disco Biscuits’ early days.

Included within is footage of TDB performing “Morph Dusseldorf, “Nughuffer,” “Blue Monk,” “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” and more. Check it out:
