At age 72 Bob Dylan still spends plenty of time on the road and in the studio. Dylan fans were in for a surprise today when Bob posted audio of a Frank Sinatra cover on his website. “Full Moon and Empty Arms” was written by Ted Mossmann and Buddy Kaye and originally recorded by Old Blue Eyes in 1945.

“This track is definitely from a forthcoming album due later on this year,” a spokesperson for Bob Dylan told Rolling Stone. While the name of the full-length effort hasn’t been revealed, Rolling Stone noted this image, which Dylan recently posted his website, sure looks to be an album cover.
Bob’s voice sounds fantastic on “Full Moon and Empty Arms” and we love the addition of pedal steel to the mix. Check it out for yourself on BobDylan.com.
