One week ago today, Neighbor keyboardist/vocalist Richard James took a moment at the end of the band’s third show of a fifth anniversary residency at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massacusetts to ask the crowd if they’d be okay with a sixth week being added. Today, Neighbor confirmed the sixth show of residency for Tuesday, March 26.
The run of Tuesday night concerts was originally scheduled for five weeks to coincide with the quartet’s fifth anniversary. “We’re having so much fun at our residency so we decided to add another show!” explained Neighbor in social media posts announcing the new concert. Tickets are on sale now via OpenDate.io.

Neighbor — James, bassist Dan Kelly, drummer Dean Johnston and guitarist Lyle Brewer — cut their teeth upon forming in 2019 with a weekly residency at now-shuttered Somerville, Massachusetts venue Thunder Road. The Soundcheck Studios run harkens back to those early days.
Each show thus far has been filled with surprises. Opening night saw the band weave David Bowie and The Beatles cover debuts into a setlist that also featured a new original and a tribute to a beloved fan. Another Beatles tune and a ZZ Top cover were unveiled two weeks ago at the second show, while last Tuesday’s show included special guests, a Grateful Dead cover debut and inverse Silver performance.
Neighbor resumes the residency tonight with the fourth of six shows.
