Nathaniel Rateliff Premieres ‘Willie’s Birthday Song’ Video

Nathaniel Rateliff shared the video for “Willie’s Birthday Song” in honor of Willie Nelson’s 87th birthday today. The video features Nelson family members Bobbie Nelson, Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson as well as Willie’s longtime harmonica player Mickey Raphael and more.

Rateliff released the single on Friday and has followed it up with the Rett Rogers-directed visual for “Willie’s Birthday Song,” which benefits Nelson’s Farm Aid and StrongHearts Native Helpline. Filmed in isolation, the video sees Bobbie Nelson on piano, Raphael on harmonica, Lukas and Micah on backing vocals along with Matthew Logan Vasquez, Nikki Lane and Courtney Marie Andrews as well as contributions from Jonathan Tyler, Matt Pynn and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats members Patrick Meese, Mark Shusterman and Jeff Dazey.
