Heart’s Nancy Wilson Covers Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The Rising’

Nancy Wilson of Heart released a cover of “The Rising” by Bruce Springsteen. Wilson is backed on the track by her solo band, The Lab.

“The Rising” is the title track from Springsteen’s 2002 studio album. As noted by Backstreets, who premiered the cover, Nancy has long been a fan of The Boss and “The Rising” took on extra meaning over the last few months. “It’s a response to all the souls departing, and the bravery of the first responders and medical crews,” Wilson told Backstreets. “There are true heroes among us.”

Nancy recorded “The Rising” quarantine style with Heart band mates Ben Smith, Andy Stoller and Ryan Waters as well as Eric Tessmer and Jeff Fielder. Listen to her version of the song below:
