My Morning Jacket’s Jim James Performs ‘In Color’ On ‘Fallon’

Jim James was the musical guest on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The My Morning Jacket frontman performed a solo acoustic guitar rendition of “In Color,” which appeared on the band’s 2021 self-titled studio album.
James’ performance was recorded by Danny Clinch in Nashville at the famed RCA Studio A. The band’s lead singer and guitarist produced and engineered My Morning Jacket, which was the band’s ninth studio LP.

My Morning Jacket recently announced an extensive tour in support of the self-titled album. The band begins the fourth iteration of their One Big Holiday destination event tonight at the Moon Palace Cancún resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
