My Morning Jacket’s Austin City Limits Hall of Fame Honors episode will premiere on ACL’s YouTube channel today, Tuesday, October 7 at 12 CT. The hour-long episode will air on PBS on October 18 as part of the 51st season of Austin City Limits.

Film director Cameron Crowe inducted My Morning Jacket into the ACL Hall Of Fame. Crowe also appears in the episode, interviewing MMJ frontman Jim James. The special ACL installment also features video tributes from notable fans, including actor Zach Galifianakis and others.

“PBS and Austin City Limits brought the world into our living room,” James said during his acceptance speech.

James and his bandmates — bassist Tom Blankenship, guitarist Carl Broemel, drummer Patrick Hallahan and keyboardist Bo Koster — began with “Out In The Open” from their recently released 10th studio album, is. Several additional songs from the album were played for the ACL live audience.

MMJ rounded out the performance with a song from 2020’s The Waterfall II and “Dancefloors” from their 2003 album, It Still Moves.
