My Morning Jacket Announces Spring Tour

Louisville rockers My Morning Jacket will hit the road for a string of spring dates in support of The Waterfall between late April and late May. As currently constructed, MMJ’s Spring Tour features seven headlining dates and one festival appearance.

First up for Jim James and Co. is a performance at Criterion Music Hall in Oklahoma City on April 27 featuring support from The Barr Brothers. The Barr Brothers also open for MMJ at Revention in Houston on April 28. The band has also announced a two-night hometown run at Louisville’s Iroquois Amphitheater May 12 and 13 with Twin Limb set to open. Following a May appearance at Shaky Knees, the group will play a show at Farm Bureau Lawn, White River State Park in Indianapolis on May 26 with The Barr Brothers as support. The tour is currently scheduled to conclude with a previously announced two-night stand at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado May 28 and 29. Fruit Bats open on the 28th and The Barr Brothers open on the 29th.

Tickets for members of My Morning Jacket’s fan club will be available tomorrow, January 19. The general on-sales will take place Friday, January 22.
