The Mother Hips canceled their upcoming two-night New Year’s Eve run of concerts at Harlow’s in Sacramento originally scheduled for December 30 and 31 (New Year’s Eve). The decision was made due to the recent spike in new COVID-19 cases as a result of the Omicron variant.

“We feel that this is the only safe way forward for our fans, crew, families and ourselves,” wrote The Mother Hips in a statement detailing the decision posted on the band’s social feeds. “The health and safety of our musical community is always our top priority. it is a hard and unfortunate call to make but we feel it is the right one.”
