After 15 years of relentless touring, Moon Hooch recently revealed they will begin an indefinite hiatus in 2026. Fans can still catch the genre-defying trio in concert over the remainder of the year, including on a newly announced fall tour.

The band comprised of saxophonists Wenzl McGowen and Michael Wilbur and drummer Cyzon Griffin “will be back–when the time is right–refreshed, renewed, and ready to Hooch again,” as per an April statement announcing the respite. All three musicians will focus on their solo careers and “other creative ventures” during the break.

Moon Hooch will embark on a West Coast tour throughout September with Evan Hatfield providing support on headlining dates. The tour begins in the Pacific Northwest with shows in Bellingham (Washington) on September 17 and Seattle on September 18. Moon Hooch then performs at the Cascade Equinox Festival in Redmond (Oregon) on September 19 before continuing to Boise (Idaho) on September 20 and Salt Lake City on September 21.

The band heads to California for the remainder of the tour with performances in Pioneertown on September 23, Solana Beach on September 24 and Venice on September 25. Moon Hooch continues with a show in Felton on September 26 before wrapping up the tour in Berkeley on September 27.
