Moon Hooch Details 2018 Fall Tour & Announces 7″ Series

Brooklyn-based trio Moon Hooch confirmed a fall headlining run that spans just over a month. Moon Hooch also unveiled a new video and announced a 7-inch vinyl series featuring tracks from their Light It Up EP.

Moon Hooch will release “Acid Mountain,” “Light It Up” and “Growing Up” off their recent EP each on a different color limited edition 7-inch vinyl on August 24 via Hornblow Recordings. In a fitting move, since all three songs have become live staples, the A-side will feature the studio version backed by a live recording on the B-side. Mike Wilbur (horns), Wenzl McGowen (horns) and James Muschler (drums) follow a summer heavy on festival appearances both in the U.S. and Europe by focusing on headlining dates this fall. The trio’s headlining run begins at Chop Shop in Chicago on September 26. Moon Hooch then hits Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Madison and St. Louis to end September.

On October 3, Moon Hooch visits Nashville ahead of stops in Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston and Asheville. The Motet are also on the bill at Asheville’s Salvage Station on October 12. As for now, Moon Hooch will end the tour by teaming with Moon Taxi for four nights including a hometown show at Brooklyn Steel, a stop at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia and a two-night run at Washington, D.C.’s famed 9:30 Club with a visit to Baltimore between the Brooklyn and Philadelphia dates.
