Mogwai Confirms 2025 Tour Dates & Shares New Single

Mogwai mapped out an extensive 2025 that will bring them to North America in the spring. The Scottish post-punk band’s return also includes the new single “God Gets You Back.”

The six-minute “God Gets You Back” marks the band’s first new music since their most recent album, 2021’s As The Love Continues. Multi-instrumentalist Barry Burns tapped his seven-year-old daughter to make up lyrics for the song, which she sang for the John Congleton-produced track.

Mogwai’s first massive tour in three years begins on February 4 in Amsterdam. Additional European dates follow before the band heads to England for shows in London on February 20 and Leeds on February 22. A home country concert will be held in Edinburgh on February 23.

The tour resumes in Bangkok on March 8 ahead of dates in Osaka, Tokyo and Taipei. Mogwai’s month-long North American leg spans April 7 – May 4. Stops include Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland (Oregon), San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin and Dallas.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 20 at 10 a.m. local time after Venue Presales on Thursday, September 19 at 10 a.m. local time. Mogwai will donate £1/€1/$1 from each ticket sold to War Child.
