MJ Lenderman and his band The Wind appeared on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live episode. The singer-songwriter led a performance of “Joker Lips” from his well-received 2024 album, Manning Fireworks.

The Wind is made up of guitarist Jon Samuels, bassist Landon George and drummer Colin Miller, as well as Lenderman’s Wednesday bandmates, keyboardist Ethan Baechtold and multi-instrumentalist Xandy Chelmis (who played pedal steel guitar on Kimmel). MJ Lenderman & The Wind are currently on tour in support of Manning Fireworks, which was issued by ANTI- Records.

Lenderman slightly adjusted the lyrics to “Joker Lips” to adhere to television standards and practices, and hit on the “you know I love my TV” lines while performing for the late-night television audience.
