Mihali released a new single, “Sunshine,” featuring Hawaii-based reggae band Seven Suns. The track is the latest in a string of singles the guitarist and singer-songwriter has released, which will presumably land on an upcoming, yet-to-be-named album.
“Sunshine” follows “King of the Low” “Free Ride,” “Circus Life,” and “Wise Man.” All five tracks were produced by Spencer Thomson of Moon Taxi. Mihali detailed the new release, “Sunshine”:
“I wrote ‘Sunshine’ about missing the sun and its warm embrace during the long cold winter,” he said. “So glad I got to work with Seven Suns on this song! I’m a big fan of their music, and their contribution to the song really elevated it and brought the perfect vibes.”

“We are so grateful to be doing our first feature as a band on this song with Mihali,” Seven Suns stated. “As Mihali calls for more ‘Sunshine,’ what could be more appropriate than the strength of Seven Suns! It feels like this pairing was meant to be, and we are so excited for everyone to hit repeat on it over and over.”
“For me, this song has an added meaning as my dog Sunshine passed away right before I wrote the song,” Mihali added. “Including Sunshine dancing with me in the art was just another way to honor her and show that sunshine can really be the embrace you need during darker times.”
The artwork for “Sunshine” was created by Alexander Scaglia, who also did the art for the previous singles and the forthcoming album. Check out the artwork and listen to “Sunshine” below:
